The projector is on, but there is no image (cable issue).

Since this is a cable issue, always check if the HDMI or VGA cable is connected properly from your source device to your projector. If the connection is secure yet the problem persists, and you are sure it is a cable issue, then the cable might be faulty and need replacement.
