The projected image has dots and lines (cable issue).

The first thing you check is the cable connection to ensure a proper connection between the video source and your projector. If the HDMI/VGA is connected properly, try using the cable with other devices to ensure that the cable is not faulty and works properly. You can also restart the connected devices to refresh the connection. If the cables fail to work with other devices, the cables are faulty and will need replacement.
