Resetting the Wi-Fi Connection on Your ABIS Smart Clothes Airer
If you need to reset the Wi-Fi connection on your ABIS Smart Clothes Airer due to a network change or connection issues, the process is simple. Resetting the Wi-Fi connection will allow you to reconnect the airer to a new Wi-Fi network through the Smart Life app.
Step 1: Prepare the Airer for Wi-Fi Reset
- Ensure the airer is powered on by plugging it into a power outlet and checking the indicator light.
- Locate the Sync Button on your ABIS Smart Clothes Airer.
Step 2: Enter Pairing Mode to Reset the Wi-Fi
- Press and hold the Sync Button on the airer for about 5–10 seconds until the indicator light starts blinking rapidly.
- This blinking indicates that the airer has entered pairing mode, which resets the current Wi-Fi connection and prepares the device for a new connection.
Step 3: Open the Smart Life App
- On your smartphone, open the Smart Life app.
- If your airer is still listed in the app, you may want to delete the old connection by navigating to the device, tapping the three dots (···), and selecting Remove Device.
- This clears the old Wi-Fi settings and allows you to set up the device as if it’s new.
Step 4: Add the ABIS Smart Clothes Airer to the New Wi-Fi
- Tap the “+” (plus) icon in the top-right corner of the Smart Life app to add a new device.
- Select Small Home Appliances, then choose Socket (Wi-Fi) or a similar device type.
- Follow the prompts to confirm that the indicator light is blinking, which indicates the device is in pairing mode.
Step 5: Connect to Your New Wi-Fi Network
- When prompted by the app, select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (the ABIS Smart Clothes Airer only supports 2.4GHz, not 5GHz).
- Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap Next to begin the connection process.
- The Smart Life app will search for the airer and connect it to the new Wi-Fi network. This process may take up to a minute.
Step 6: Confirm the Connection
- Once the airer is successfully connected to the new Wi-Fi network, the app will display a confirmation screen.
- You can rename the device (if necessary) and tap Done to complete the setup.
Step 7: Test the Connection
- On the Smart Life app, use the On/Off button to test whether the airer responds to commands.
- If the airer responds, the Wi-Fi reset and reconnection were successful, and you can now control it using the new network.
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Reset Issues
- Light not blinking: Ensure you press and hold the sync button for the correct amount of time (5–10 seconds) until the light blinks rapidly. If it doesn’t work, try holding the button for a little longer.
- Unable to find the device: Make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The airer won’t connect to a 5GHz network.
- Wi-Fi password error: Double-check the Wi-Fi password you’re entering in the app. Even a small mistake can prevent the device from connecting.
- Connection takes too long: Move closer to the router to ensure a strong signal during the pairing process.
You’re Ready to Reconnect!
By following these steps, you can easily reset the Wi-Fi connection on your ABIS Smart Clothes Airer and reconnect it to a new network. This ensures that your smart airer can always be controlled from anywhere using the Smart Life app.
